Getting Crafty

I'm getting the "nesting" itch but I have nothing to "nest" and I'm going crazy. Luckily we found out we are doing our final walk-through Aug. 14 and should get our keys Aug. 21 so then the nesting can begin....for a few days at least!

Thad and I went shopping yesterday and saw these really cute frames and I wanted some but they were just too expensive. I thought to myself, "I can do that!", so I dragged my poor pregnant body through the heat to Michael's and Joann and got the things that I needed. I came up with these 4 frames and I love them. The polka dot one has a little more work with embellishments to be done for baby boy's room but I am very happy with what I came up with. My new project has come to my rescue! Since I can't "nest" I can at least make cute things for my house! I have a little bit of perfecting to do though since I can't seem to get the paper to lay perfectly smooth and it gets a little bubbly. Anyone know how to solve the bubbles? It was fun to have a new project and something to do other than vege on the couch, although my back is paying for it.

Ikea has really cute big, blocky frames to do this to. I used to do these a lot for baby gifts. I also have the tools to use to get rid of bubbles if you want to borrow them. What glue are you using? They look super cute! I can't wait to see Baby Burke's room!

Maury, I can't wait to have a room for him! I hadn't thought of Ikea, I'll have to go there. I've been using a roller but it doesn't work well enough and I'm just using mod podge to glue. What are the tools that you use?
