Carly and Mom

Grandpa Greene bought Carly this pretty white dress that she wore to church today. She looked so cute and everyone loved the dress. She's getting a bit noisier in church. She talked quite a bit in Relief Society, too cute!!!

We were lucky enough to spend the last part of our summer in Virginia for just over a week. We had such a great time sight seeing in D.C. and visiting Thad's family in Barhamsville, Virginia. Here is a brief run-down of our trip.

Day 1- up at 2:30am to catch a 6:15am flight to Washington D.C. (who's idea was that?) On a bright note, we stayed at the JW Marriott on Pennsylvania Ave. NICE!
Day 2- International Spy Museum, US Capitol and White House
Day 3- visit Burke (where Thad grew up), Arlington Cemetery, Iwo Jima monument and The Pentagon
Day 4- WWII Memorial, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial and train ride to Richmond (funny Cayson story)
Thad- Cayson, do you know who that is?
Cayson- No
Thad- That is Abraham Lincoln, he was our 16th president.
Cayson- Oh, I thought it was Jesus
Days 5 and 6- spent time with family and visited the cemetery where Thad's dad is buried
Day 7- Busch Gardens- Yay roller coasters and Thad screams like a girl on scary rides!!!
Day 8- Virginia Beach and unexpected trip to the ER with Carly
Day 9- We were supposed to go home but due to the hospital trip and the possibility of infection in Carly's shunt the Dr didn't want us to travel. No problem, we didn't want to leave anyways!
Days 10-12- Relaxed and spent time with family
Day 13- Flew out at 6:45pm and arrived at 10:50pm (1:50am VA time...just imagine how much fun that was!) When we were at the airport in Dallas for our layover, Cayson had his 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th winds of energy. He was running through the airport yelling "Oh my gosh my belly freaking hurts, I need a donut!" Then when he saw Krispy Kreme he opened the door and starting putting donuts in a bad before we could stop him. Crazy child!

The trip was SOOOO much fun. Thad loved seeing his family and I thought they were great. We got to see the land that Pepaw gave us and it was beautiful. We would love to build there someday! Cayson loved playing with his cousins and got to be best friends with his cousin Gabby who is the same age. They had so much fun playing together. We were sad when it was time to go and can't wait to go back and visit. Because I had so many pictures and couldn't pick which ones to put on the blog I made a slide show of most of the pics. Enjoy!

Breaking Dawn

I just finished Breaking Dawn and I really liked it. Since I know everyone hasn't read it yet I wont say anything about it here. I'm interested in hearing everyone's thoughts on the book so leave a comment!

This is our new grass and we love it!!! We had a bunch of problems with our grass and the yard becoming a pond so we finally decided to get artifical grass. We have been outside playing on it more than we played outside on the old grass. Totally worth it to not have to deal with broken sprinklers, keeping up the lawn and our pond every time it rains. After our storm last night we wondered what it would be like...not even wet by this afternoon. Its great!!!

Anyone notice what is different about Carly?

She got her ears pierced!!!

Brindle loves to give Carly kisses...icky!

Flashback Friday

Memories please

I've been seeing this on different friends blogs so I've finally decided to participate. Should be fun!

Rules for the game include:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a lot or a little, anything you remember.
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume your playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave a memory about you in my comments.
