I've been lazy...

I have been lazy on the whole blogging thing but don't worry, I have lots of pictures to post! Here they are, not in order but we can't be too picky when we are so far behind.

Eating can be so exhausting!
Last Saturday Desert Ridge had snow brought in and a bunch of christmas activities for kids so we brought Carly to see the snow. We unfortunately didn't have Cayson last weekend so he didn't get to go with us, too bad cause he would have had a lot of fun. It was fun and Carly was so cute sitting in the snow. After the snow we enjoyed completing our christmas shopping!

(see how she is looking at the snow...what the heck is this cold stuff that I'm sitting on!)
We made gingerbread men for family night a couple of weeks ago. Cayson had a lot of fun decorating them and eating the extra frosting. Notice the gender confused gingerbread man...Thad has such a fun sense of humor. Cayson and I were decorating our cookies and I hear Thad laughing to himself and there he is laughing about his cookie he made.

Carly was the cheerleader for decorating. She also chose the winner...sorry Thad but you didn't win.
Mom, Carly and I went to Malibu the first weekend in December to visit some of her friends from her "Bunny" days. We had a lot of fun with Jenny and Sandy seeing the sights and shopping. Jenny almost lost her house last year during the Malibu fires. The back of her house was burned down some neighbors lost their homes completely. I had never been to Malibu before and it is beautiful there. This picture is at a restaurant called Geoffreys that was majorly overpriced but had the best crab cakes and lobster bisque that I have ever had.
We went for a walk down the hill from Jenny's house and found a house with some pretty gates. My mom brought her extravagant camera and took some beautiful pictures of Carly and I.

Jenny's husband Neel and 5 of their 6 dogs. Check out these names...Mr. Facke, Mama Lodee, Elodee, Portney Foy, Lilly One and not pictured is Luther. They bark and bark and bark!
Mom, Carly and I went to the Santa Monica pier and walked around, went on the ferris wheel, visited the aquarium (Carly touched a starfish) and went shopping at this really cool outdoor shopping center. Oh the shopping, I only wish I had the money to spend!

Okay, not completely caught up yet but its a start! Enjoy!!!

I'm a Twi-tard...apparantly

My wonderful cousin, Nora came up to see "Twilight" with me...at midnight!!! Unfortunately we did not get a picture of the long line we waited in or the awesome shirts that we wore. We totally dorked it up and it was awesome! I don't feel dumb though because there were tons of mom's that I knew so, no making fun. The movie was great, totally cheeseball but great. It's no emmy award winner but quite entertaining for the Twilight lover. Loved it and can't wait to take Thad to see it with me next! What was my favorite scene...I know its probably everyones but the meadow scene and Edward playing the piano. For the other Twi-tards that have already seen the movie, what was your favorite part of the movie?

(I cannot fail to mention that my mom joined in on the fun and came to watch it with us too. She spent the night at my house and then helped me with my house today. I fell behind on the house work having been sick for the past 2 weeks, so thanks mom!)

Sick, sick, sick

We have been SICK. It all started out with Cayson having a cold. Then I had the stomach flu for two days, got better then got a cold that has turned into a massive sinus infection. During my getting sick, Cayson's cold turned into croup cough. He went on medication and sounds much better than he did last week. Apparantly moms that nurse their babys have the risk of giving the baby their sickness. Oops, that was what I was afraid of! Carly started with a stuffy nose that quickly turned to a cough. Once she started to have a fever and start tugging at her ears I decided that it was time for a trip to the dr. We went today and she has croup too and an ear infection. So its amoxacillin for 10 days and a steriod for 2 days. Poor girl can hardly breathe through her nose and coughs so hard that he little body shakes. Now I'm hovering over her waiting for an allergic reaction to the amox. Please, I don't need that! Luckily Thad hasn't gotten anything yet...knock on wood! So stay away, we are on the mend but can't promise anything.

In other news, Carly goes in on wednesday for her first fitting for a shaping helmet. We are not excited but this will be best for her. Poor little girl, her daddy already makes fun of her big head and crooked leg, now she's going to be wearing a helmet. She'll be damaged for life! Since nobody knew about her crooked leg...her right leg is turned out at the hip so we have to do physical therapy at home to train her leg to be straight so she can walk right. These are the first signs of anything from the hydrocephalus. Still doing good!

Photo Tag

I got tagged. Here's the 4th picture from the 4th file.

What an embarassing picture, I look horrible! This is just a picture of Carly and I with Copper. We had Copper for a few weeks before we decided that we couldn't handle another dog and that it would be best for her to live with someone that could devote more time to her. The people that she went to live with are very nice and they spoil her. We miss you Copper!

I tag...Maury, Cara, Melissa and Miriam

Family pictures

I don't have any pictures to show for it but we had our family pictures yesterday. They should be awesome! I will be sending out christmas cards and need addresses of people that would like one. So if you want a christmas card with pictures of my HOT family on it leave me your address. Having fun doing our pictures yesterday was the one bright spot of the day! At least I have my family to make me happy!

Guess what I'm talking about...

I didn't know what I wanted to title this post so I thought I'd list all the ideas that I had.

Are you freaking kidding me!?!
We're screwed.
There goes our retirement...
Should we call it "The Half-Black House?"
USA=big target
Pissed doesn't cover it.
Australia, here I come!
This is going to be a long 4 years.
This sucks.
Really, he's the best we could come up with?
I worked hard all day but here, take this money.
Socialism, here we come.

Yup, we are in for it.

***pretty lenghty comment added***
***FYI- I am not racist, I have no problem with a black man as our president, I just don't like his politics/beliefs and I'm tired of the news talking about him being repressed because of his race. He is half white too!!!***

Tonight Thad, Carly and I participated in the Light the Night walk for Leukemia and Lymphoma research. Some of you may or may not know that my mom was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in February 2004 and nearly died as a result from it. She spent almost 1 month in ICU when we found out the type of cancer she had. After extreme chemo and radiation treatments she has been in remission for over 3 years now. It felt good to support an organization that helps research and give aid to those that are afflicted with the same cancer, some of those people not getting as lucky as my mom. We had fun walking around and playing in the grass before the walk. We wish we would have brought Brindle since so many people brought their dogs with them. Shhh, don't tell her or she'll think we neglected her!

Carly playing with Daddy's hat

Before the walk we were playing around on the grass. These are some of the beautiful pictures of Thad that I took. He should really be a model.....or not!

Halloween fun!

Friday night we went trick or treating with Connor and Cash. Cayson had a lot of fun with the boys and got tons of candy! Carly was so cute in her bumble bee costume!

State Fair!

Wednesday night Cayson, Carly and I went to the State Fair with grandma and grandpa. Fawn, Tondi, Gina, Jack and Jade came with us and Darren and Allison met us there. We had a lot of fun watching the kids play and go on rides. Jack and I went on a couple of "big" people rides and had a lot of fun!

Carly and the goat that was trying to eat her car seat.
Cayson and I on the big farris wheel
I took Cayson and Jade on the spinny ride. They were flopping around everywhere!
Carly's aunts and grandma took her while Dad, Jack and I took Jade and Cayson on the rides. They thought she would like a dill pickle...can you see it in her eyes, "Do NOT take my pickle!"
Cayson's favorite ride at the fair.
Cayson and Jade enjoying some yummy ice cream!

Cute little piggies....

Exciting news!

My baby has a tooth, yay! It is so cute just peeking through on the bottom and oh so sharp! I'm not sure how much longer this nursing thing is going to go on now that there are teeth coming in. How do you teach a 7 month old not to bite? She is also starting to sit up better now. Can't sit up on her own completely but almost there! My baby is becoming a big girl too soon!

The BIG 3-0!!!

Happy BIG 3-0 to my love! For those that don't know Thad, he is the greatest guy! He is an amazing father and husband. He's very talented with woodworking and has done many great projects in our house. (I will put up pictures one day!) He is very athletic and is a great baseball player. We love bike riding together and working out in the living room at night. He is very competitive and loves to win. He is very outgoing and funny. I could not ask for more and am so greatful that I have him in my life. Thad makes me laugh, makes me smile, and cheers me up when I'm sad. We have had 2 1/2 great years together and I look foreward to many more! I love you Thad, more than anything in the world. You have given me 2 wonderful children and more happiness than I deserve. Happy birthday my floppy rabbit! ;) I love you!!!

Riding bikes

Cayson has finally figured out how to ride a bike. We got him a new bike with training wheels and he loves riding it. We got a bike trailer for Carly to ride in and now we can go on family bike rides. It is so much fun!

Fun girls weekend!

What a fun weekend! This past weekend Nora (my cousin) and Melissa (my sister-in-law) came up from Tucson for Melissa's birthday and for Race for the Cure. They came up friday night and stayed at my house the whole weekend. Friday night we just talked, ate brownies and orange icecream and watched Say Yes to the Dress. It was so much fun sitting around and hanging out! Saturday morning we headed out to Scottsdale for a day of shopping. We had really good lunch at The Pink Taco followed by the BESTEST fried icecream ever!! Melissa and I had our makeup done at MAC and we both got new makeup. With our new and beautiful faces we took up modeling. I got my first pair of slingback wedges ever and my first pair of skinny jeans. I also got the longest and biggest earrings I have ever worn. I felt like a new person!

Lacy's pretty hat ** Melissa's clunky necklace ** Nora's stylish glasses

Here are my beautiful shoes and jeans!

Nora is trying to make her hair higher. She believes "The higher the hair the closer to God." I however believe "The bigger the hair the bigger the whore!" j/k Nora, I love you!
We enjoyed dinner with Maury at The Grand Luxe Cafe. It was so good and so much fun to spend time together. Dessert was great! I ate so much I thought that I was going to burst! Carly was such a good girl the whole day. She enjoyed her girls day too!
Sunday morning Grandmom joined us for Race for the Cure. We got up early and headed downtown for the walk. Carly slept most of the time but was happy when she woke up. We met up afterwards with Maury and Brian and the kids and visited then we headed to Quizno's and Krispy Kreme. YUMMY!
There was a group of women there with a big Women for McCain and Women for Palin sign. We had to get a picture of it to show our support! By the end of the race the outhouses were rather stinky....ewww!
Thank you girls for such a fun and much needed girls weekend!

What's wrong with this picture?

Who exactly did I buy the flower floor mat for?
