I remember this day so clearly I think it was yesterday.

He turned 1 this morning....

 So how did this happen?

My baby is two.

I love every minute of my life with this sweet boy.

He is a mama's boy!

He makes me so happy!!

I look forward to him coming in my room every morning around 5:30 and getting in bed with me then falling back to sleep. It's our cuddle time!

Burke is very thoughtful. 

If his brother or sister is crying he wants to hug them.

BUT...

One second later he is the reason one of them is crying or screaming!

Burke loves cell phones. He works my iPhone better than I can!

He is learning more and more words.

He says- mama, mom, Doodle, awesome, oh no, thank you, please, yes, no, dada, jump, ball, pool, Coco, Cayson and Elmo- although you must be trained in "Burke" to understand any of that!

He loves to smile, jump, swing, slide, laugh and be silly.

I'm so glad that he is mine!!

We had grandma and grandpa over for Burke's birthday. Originally we had a few more people planned but because of Carly being sick we just stuck to grandma and grandpa. That's a whole lotta cake for just a few people! And lesson learned, no more green or blue frosting!!

Slumber party

This is where the kids sleep on the weekends...

and sometimes during the week when I don't want to deal with bedtime.

Bus rider

Carly is a bus rider! 

No more driving to and from school which for me is awesome since most days there is a mom or two that I want to punch for being rude and impatient!

Firsts

Monday was Cayson's first day of SECOND grade! 

His teacher is Mrs. Carbajal and he really likes her.

He has friends in class from kindergarten and first grade and has plenty of new ones to make!

Looks like its going to be a great year!!!

Carly had her first day of PRESCHOOL on tuesday.

She had a bit of an attitude problem that morning.....

She was mad that she couldn't have her sippy or her mermaid doll.

Her teacher is Ms. Linda and Carly loves reading books with her!

Monday night we moved Burke into Cayson's room and into a BIG BOY bed.

I don't have a crib anymore...it's weird and sad.

The transition has been easy. In the past 3 nights he has only come out once!

We have matching beds on order and just bought them matching bedding.

Yay for boys sharing a room!!

This is the problem we are experiencing with sharing a room.

 Burke likes to sleep with his big brother.

We'll have to work on this.
