Pinetop fun and goodbyes

I took Cayson and Carly up to Pinetop with Grandma and Grandpa Greene this past weekend while Thad stayed home and studied for school. We had a really fun weekend playing in the snow. We went up to Sunrise where there have a big sledding hill. I took Carly down once and Cayson went down 5 times all by himself. He would go really fast then start to spin at the end and somehow he never got scared. Carly didn't seem to mind the snow much except for the one time that she did a face plant in it. Cayson played with Grandpa and had a snowball fight with him. The dogs loved the snow and would run and chase snowballs. It was Brindle's first time to the snow and it didn't slow her down at all. She leaped and pranced through the snow at top speed and had a great time. We can't wait to do it again and hopefully Thad will be able to come the next time!

This weekend was the perfect goodbye to my dear Brindle. We chose to let her live with another family due to having another baby and not knowing where exactly we will be when Thad goes to dental school. We didn't mean to find someone so quickly but through word of mouth my parents neighbor found out that we wanted to give her away. They had just lost their dogs to old age and were going to be looking for a new dog soon. They met Brindle and fell in love with her. I took two more weeks with her and then we gave her to them on Monday evening. It has been very hard not to have her here at the house and I miss her terribly. Its hard not to have her to cuddle with at night on the couch when we are watching tv. She should be at home making us happy, not with another family. I didn't expect for this to be so hard but it feels like we have lost a family member. I find myself going to the back door to let her in only to remember she isn't outside. Its going to take some getting used to and I fear some more tears. (and yes, I am crying right now just writing and thinking about it.) So here are a few pictures of Brindle. She was a great and amazing dog and friend for us. She was very loyal and loved the kids. We will miss her forever!

Oh crap!

This psycho has got to be one of the most annoying contestants American Idol has seen. (and crazy headband, face pierced guy- he's really annoying too...)

Miss Tatiana,
You have a great singing voice but are annoying as heck! If I was your roommate I might cut out your voice box in the night, just so I don't have to hear your shreiking, whiny, drama queen voice. Please don't talk or laugh, just sit and shut up until its time to sing. If you happen to let out a little laugh, try to keep still so we don't see everything jiggle! Don't get your hopes up, you'll never make it to the end. You will also never be as good as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood or Jordan Sparks...face it, they aren't fame whore (hey if Leslie can say it so can I) drama queens. But good luck, if you don't make it here maybe you can try plus size modeling. :)

And a real true good luck to Scott MacIntyre, Danny Gokey and Lil' Rounds!
