Sick, sick, sick

We have been SICK. It all started out with Cayson having a cold. Then I had the stomach flu for two days, got better then got a cold that has turned into a massive sinus infection. During my getting sick, Cayson's cold turned into croup cough. He went on medication and sounds much better than he did last week. Apparantly moms that nurse their babys have the risk of giving the baby their sickness. Oops, that was what I was afraid of! Carly started with a stuffy nose that quickly turned to a cough. Once she started to have a fever and start tugging at her ears I decided that it was time for a trip to the dr. We went today and she has croup too and an ear infection. So its amoxacillin for 10 days and a steriod for 2 days. Poor girl can hardly breathe through her nose and coughs so hard that he little body shakes. Now I'm hovering over her waiting for an allergic reaction to the amox. Please, I don't need that! Luckily Thad hasn't gotten anything yet...knock on wood! So stay away, we are on the mend but can't promise anything.

In other news, Carly goes in on wednesday for her first fitting for a shaping helmet. We are not excited but this will be best for her. Poor little girl, her daddy already makes fun of her big head and crooked leg, now she's going to be wearing a helmet. She'll be damaged for life! Since nobody knew about her crooked leg...her right leg is turned out at the hip so we have to do physical therapy at home to train her leg to be straight so she can walk right. These are the first signs of anything from the hydrocephalus. Still doing good!

My kids would get croop every year and always in the middle of the night. Ryan was the worst. He usually had it three times a winter. Finally around the age of 6 he outgrew it. I had that sickness. Hope your on the mend.
