News

I guess its time to come out with some fun news since its been killing me to keep it in! We are building a new and bigger house! We are super excited although it feels like it is going to be forever. We are one month into the 5 month build time so 4 months left, and if you are doing the math...yes, we are cutting it close. The house is in Waddell and for those that had no idea there was a town called Waddell in Arizona, its about 15 minutes closer to California than we already are. We are about 1 mile from the White Tank Mountains and it is very rural out there. We are excited for a huge lot and a bigger house!
So, what are we doing with out house? Before we planned on getting a new build we put our house up for sale and got an offer pretty quickly. Excited as we were, we started looking for foreclosures. But I had some very specific things I was looking for in a house...single story, 4+ bedrooms, large lot, 2500+ square feet, not needing a lot of work and of course, in our price range. THIS was impossible to find. We heard that Standard Pacific was matching foreclosure prices and decided to give them a try. Basically, we got an AMAZING deal with them and couldn't turn them down. We signed a contract, put our money down and the countdown began. Meanwhile, the offer that we had on our house fell through. So back on the market it is and out we moved. There has been quite a bit of traffic and interest so we are hopeful that we will get another offer on the house.
We moved out for the ease of showing and selling and to save a bit of money since Thad will be in school all summer. We are living at my parents house until it is done which probably means we will leave with one more little person than we came with. We've been here just over a week and so far so good. It was sad leaving the house since that was our first house together and we had Carly there but we are excited to move on and into bigger and better! Look foreward to more pictures of the building progress!

PS...we are down to 3 names for little man- Burke, Camden or Cohen...in that order. Can't wait to see which name he looks like!
