Sister's Retreat

This year for sister's retreat we went on a cruise to Belize, Roatan and Cozumel.
It was the BEST TRIP EVER!
I had a hard time picking pictures out of the 1000+ that we have but here are some that I've narrowed down. There will be a few more to come later.

We ported out of New Orleans. Our first night we went walking down Bourbon Street and went to eat at a restaurant called "Deenie's".  We had crawfish, BBQ shrimp (so yummy) and fried oysters, catfish, shrimp and blue crab.
Luggage for 5 people.
First evening on the ship.
Waiting around for our emergency preparedness meeting.
Dad and I on our balcony.
First day at sea.
First formal night.
Every night we had a towel animal on our bed with chocolate mints.
Enjoying another sea day in the sun.
Hanging out at the comedy club.
Towel elephant!
Belize, Mexico.

In Belize we went on a river boat up to the Lamanai Myan ruins.
They were amazing and huge!
Only about 5% of the area is excavated with no money to work on the rest.
We don't look like tourists at all!!
Our matching sisters pajamas!
Roatan, Honduras
Pirates of the Caribbean Extreme EXTREME Canopy Tour.
It was 2 miles with 8 platforms and started at 326 feet high!
They also had monkeys that we got to play with. They were so fun!!!
Scuba diving in Roatan
Cozumel was by far my favorite!
We went scuba diving and even got to scuba with the dolphins.
Our dive guides were great and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time!
Walking back to the ship for the last time.
 Sister's rings.
Our last night on the ship.
We went to the final show in our matching pj's.
We had another day in New Orleans before heading home.
We enjoyed walking around the French Quarter and shopping.
Also had some great food!
Our last day we went on a city tour and went into the lower 9th ward which was where the majority of damage and deaths from Katrina occurred. It was pretty amazing to see so much still damaged.
The blue posts represent the level of the water at it's highest and as it receded.

This was a truly amazing trip. We felt like princesses the whole time!
Our relationships as sisters was strengthened and we loved the time with our dad.
Can't wait for next year for some time away!!
